What do we do?
The Friends of the Lanesborough Public Library raise funds through an annual plant sale, raffles, grants, and other actions to pay for the library's museum passes and various programs, and for capital improvements, such as the circulation desk several years ago, when needed. Each year we ask the Director what needs there are outside of what the town's appropriation and grant funds can provide, and fulfill those requests when possible. Friends groups cannot raise funds for basic operations, but we can promote and support enhancements to those operations.
The officers meet several times a year. Those meetings are open to all members, but attendance is not required.
Our next meeting is Wednesday, March 15 @ 1 pm at the library. Please join us!
